Free energy audit
Utility Aid offers a unique free energy audit to ANY charity or not for profit organisation which is easy and understandable.
We will discuss with the relevant staff within your organisation all they ways we can reduce energy spend and, should you have 20 sites or more, come and spend half a day with you at no cost. The purpose of the visit is to help you understand the implications of your current energy purchasing and usage policy and how the introduction of energy efficiency measures could help to reduce your energy costs.
We will ask you to compile the following information prior to our visit, so you receive the maximum benefit for the audit session. The information will include:
Details of your current gas and electricity suppliers:
• Details about your organisation in terms of the number of premises
and number of meters.
• Annual energy expenditure over the past 3 years
• Your gas and electricity bills for the last year for at least 2 main sites
During the audit we will cover the following points:
• the number of current energy suppliers and contracts
• the accuracy of the invoices from suppliers in terms of tariffs,
VAT and levy’s being charged
• the level of estimated usage vs actual usage being used by suppliers
• the energy strategy purchasing process and the strategic options available in terms of energy procurement
• the implementation of smartmeters and impact of energy efficiency management
The audit carries no obligation at all and will leave you more knowledgeable and better informed about how energy efficiency practices can benefit your charity.
